At Our Space, we offer a warm, safe and uplifting environment for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) – while giving families a chance to pause, breathe, and take time for themselves. Based in Bradford, we’re more than just a respite centre. We are a close-knit, private setting built on real relationships, personal care, and a deep understanding of each child’s unique needs.
Our Space was founded in 2024 by a small team of dedicated professionals with over a decade of experience working in education and supporting children with additional needs. While working in primary schools, we came to know families who shared how limited support was outside of the classroom. Many told us there were no after-school clubs, weekend spaces or holiday activities that truly catered for their children’s needs, and that’s when the idea for Our Space began to take shape.
We listened, and we built something just for them.
We offer tailored respite care for children with SEND in a joyful, engaging setting. Whether it's a fun activity, quiet time in a sensory space, or simply being around trusted adults who understand them, children at Our Space are given the chance to thrive.
We are here for the whole family, not just the child. Parents and carers are welcome to join our regular coffee mornings and catch-ups – a chance to connect with others who really get it, share stories, and feel heard. Support shouldn’t stop at the school gates.
Everything we do is grounded in care, respect and connection. We are proud to hold a range of professional qualifications, SEND awareness, safeguarding and SEND safeguarding, paediatric first aid, autism and ADHD qualifications, intimate care training, seizure training and play therapy. But what truly sets us apart is our passion – and our belief that families deserve a community they can trust.
